- Amador County Office of Education Child Development Programs
The Amador County Office of Education offers the Extended Day Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) and the State Preschool Program (CSPP). These Programs are located at elementary schools in Amador County. Funding comes from parent fees and a subsidy program for low and middle-income families. After-school activities include homework help and enrichment projects. The ELO-P summer program is all-day recreation-based, providing weekly field trips, swimming opportunities and craft, nature and reading projects. - ATCAA Early Head Start and Head Start Preschool
ATCAA Head Start/Early Head Start provides comprehensive early education programs for children from birth to age 5 in Amador County. The program focuses on the ‘whole child’ and engages children and their families striving to create partnerships with parents to provide services that best meet their needs. - First 5 Amador
This organization facilitates partnerships and funds strategies that strengthen families and support them in raising healthy children ages 0-5 years old. A variety of programs are offered, such as weelkly playgroups, a Welcome Baby program, and Quality for Kids quality improvement system for child care providers. - The Resource Connection – Child Care Resources & Referrals
The Resource Connection gives referrals to local licensed child care homes, preschools and centers, assists in the licensing process, and provides child care resources for parents and child care providers. They also provide referrals to many community services such as children’s services, education, health, housing, legal assistance, and nutrition. Monthly professional development opportunities and trainings for child care providers are also provided by The Resource Connection, Child Care Resources.
