Who We Are
The Amador Child Care Council (ACCC) determines local community child care needs through the development of needs assessments and a county-wide child care plan. The Amador Child Care Council’s mission is to partner with the community to promote the early care and education of children. We are committed to accessible and quality child care.
Every county in California has a state-mandated Local Child Care Planning Council funded by the California Department of Education. Local Child Care Planning Council statutes require that every effort should be made by the appointing agencies to assure that the ethnic, racial, and geographic composition of the LPC is reflective of the population of the county.
The ACCC holds monthly public meetings and all persons interested in child care issues are encouraged to attend. Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month (skip July and August), at 1:00 pm. These meetings are held at the Amador County Unified School District office located at 217 Rex Avenue, Jackson, CA 95642.
Our Mission
The mission of the Amador Child Care Council (ACCC) supports the development of affordable, accessible, quality child care which promotes the success of all children, their families, and the economy of our communities. We envision an inclusive, affordable child care system that promotes healthy, successful children and youth.
